Golden Pond Lodge is a delightful Period Villa located on the famous
ring of Kerry andamong the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland.
This enchanting villa is set on a hillside close to the picturesque town of Killorglin. Surrounded by an acre of private gardens including large well tended lawns, mature trees and shrubs with distant views of river Laune and McGillycuddy Reeks mountain range.
Everything about Golden Pond Lodge is designed by its owner Breda Clifford (Interior Designer) with the guests ultimate comfort in mind.
The Kitchen is the focal point of this home by day. The easily operated
range cooker and oak beams creates an atmosphere of true Irish welcome
to wake up to in the mornings or to return to after a long day
sightseeing. The Sun Room which opens off the Kitchen is the perfect
place for reading and relaxation. A traditional half door opens to the
superb south-facing patio area with a gas barbecue. The patio tables and
garden furniture make it ideal for al fresco dining.
The very cozy
sitting room is decorated in very rich colors and furnishings with its
original open-fire and candles makes it ideal for a nice romantic night
in. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor. Each bedroom
has a double Mahogany sleigh bed and both are very bright with double
aspect windows. Both bedrooms share a family bathroom. Upstairs is a
very nice children's room with single bed, double futon and cot
optional. There is also a bathroom with shower upstairs.
